Week-long residential art courses across Europe

Our Ethos.

Triptych Courses begin with a simple idea: given the time and space, great strides in one’s art practice can be made. On the courses, a week is dedicated to working with hands-on guidance from an artist-tutor.

“Triptych Course gives you the opportunity for six days of uninterrupted, full-on art making. You’re in the company of eight people, away from everyday distractions, in a state of eating, sleeping, and breathing art. Every day you make a little push forward, and that consistency amounts to a massive leap forward across the week.”

- Eugenie Vronskaya, Artist-Tutor

The artists are given the rare luxury of complete liberation from daily life: breakfast, lunch, dinner (not to mention dessert and wine!) are provided; cabs and transportation are arranged; grocery runs happen well before everyone wakes up; materials are sources, boards gessoed, and ready to use upon arrival.

The artists are freed from the little concerns of quotidian life and are able to dedicate themselves entirely to art.

Whether in the rolling English countryside or the sun-soaked hills of Tuscany, in villas or castles, the course takes place in beautiful settings that call upon the artist's desire to render that beauty on the canvas.

“I found the time and space really amazing for focusing on my work. You can really push through, where you’d otherwise have to stop and have a break for real life. Not only is it about having enough time to work, but having enough time to talk about our work as well — it’s invaluable.”

- Sophia, student on five Triptych Courses since 2023
